Leather care
General Information
Full grain, veg tanned leather is a natural product of the highest quality. Each hide is unique in its structure, patterns, markings and feel and as unique as the animal it came from. Irregularities such as discolorations, veins, scars, sting marks and such are natural, wanted and a testimony to the leather’s history. They are not flaws and instead are, what makes your product unique and special.
How to store your product
To avoid uneven patina and discolorations always store your product away from natural or artificial light. Do not put your product near heat sources like heaters, chargers or direct sunlight to tan it, as this may cause severe, irreversible structural damages.
How to clean your product
For light stains use a soft damp towel and gently and evenly wipe down your product. Do not use any soap other than leather soap (only if really needed) as that removes the oils from the leather. Do not by any means rub on one spot, as that will lead to severe discoloration and damage. If your product feels dry, use a small amout of leather conditioner (suitable for veg tanned leather) to give the leather back some oils. Avoid products that seal the leather (such as shoe cream), as that may lead to an uneven patina in the long run.
